On 25 May 1921, during the Irish War of Independence, the Custom House in Dublin was occupied and then burnt in an operation by the Irish Republican Army (IRA).

This Interpretation Project marks the centenary of the IRA burning of the building.

Axo Architects provided project management and back-up architectural services, working with Bright (Edinburgh), Direct Contracts International, and the Office of Public Works (OPW).

Original building by James Gandon Architect in 1781.
